Photos: Fighting Measles in Cambodia

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), a founding partner of MRI, worked with Cambodian health officials to monitor the National Measles and Rubella Immunization Campaign, funded by the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunizations (GAVI), which aimed to protect four million Cambodian children through vaccination back in November 2013. Health workers traveled to schools all over the country to administer the vaccines to students.

In July 2014, the CDC returned to Cambodia to evaluate the introduction of the 2nd measles dose into the routine immunization program. Check out the photos from this most recent campaign, which shows the CDC interviewing health workers, mothers and children in Cambodia.
